Cherie Knopf has over 25 years as a health care professional of which 13 have been as a certified health administrator. She has been in the field of recovery and rehabilitation since 2001. Her vision has always remained the same; to provide high quality treatment and help residents achieve personal and spiritual growth. 2005-present, President of Companion Pet Retreat. A non-profit organization rescuing pets from terminally ill patients. 1990-2005 volunteer with Companion Pet Retreat. |

Danny Miller CADC
Director
Danny Miller has been in the drug and alcohol recovery field for more than 20 years, in both medical and social model treatment centers. He is the court liaison for JRC providing professional court representation to all the various Drug and Alcohol Diversion Programs in Orange County, California since 1995. Served as founder of Bridgeback Sober Living Environments in 1993, a group of non-profit highly structured sober living homes for the indigent. Danny's philosophy is that everyone deserves a second chance. Danny is also the co-founder of Evening Star Performing Arts High School. A program that provides high school classes for recovering individuals to obtain their High School Diplomas, in addition to encouraging artistic/musical abilities. Danny provides lectures in our group and relapse prevention sessions. He brings an abundance of experience, strength and hope to our program. |

Stuart Finkelstein, M.D.

Dr. Finkelstein specializes in treating addiction and has been a leader in treating addiction for over 20 years. He recognizes that chemical dependency is a medical illness that requires medical treatment. Dr. Finkelstein is also ASAM Certified. The ASAM certificate is recognized throughout the world as signifying excellence in the practice of Addiction Medicine. He is also one of a limited number of physicians certified by the state of California and registered with the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human services (HHS) to prescribe Suboxone for the treatment of opiate addiction. His mission is to help people get well so they can return to living happy, healthy, productive lives. We are honored to have him as part of our team. |

Irwin I. Rosenfeld, MD
Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr. Rosenfeld has been an active member of many professional organizations, where he has served on and chaired several committees. He has delivered over 150 lectures to the lay and professional public on a wide variety of topics in psychiatry, and has had three published journal articles. In addition to consulting at Journey Rehabilitation Centers, Dr. Rosenfeld has been in the private practice of Psychiatry in Laguna Hills since 1980. He has been on staff at South Coast Medical Center, and actively consults at Saddleback Memorial Medical Centers in Laguna Hills and San Clemente as well as Mission Hospital. Dr. Rosenfeld is one of only three board-certified addiction psychiatrists in Orange County and we are honored to have him as part of our team. |
